Jim Rogers: Artificial money printing to end badly

There's this gigantic artificial flow of money floating into our economy, and this is going to end badly because it is artificial. Right now we have a very artificial situation. You have the central bank in America printing staggering amounts of money.

Jim Rogers: Some not happy with money printing

Mr. Bernanke has said it's[money printing] going to go on to 2015. But some Fed officials have voiced hope that QE can be curtailed starting this year. These folks are not happy about this staggering amount of money-printing because they know it's going to have bad consequences.

Jim Rogers: Massive amounts of good news for Gold

One of things I’ve learned in the investment world, when something is ‘good news’ for [an asset market] and it goes down, you better be very worried, so of course it looks bad for gold right now. There’s massive amounts of good news. It should be going up.

Jim Rogers on Japan inflation and pains

One hundred twenty-five million Japanese [stand to lose the most] because of inflation. Everything Japan imports is going to go up dramatically in price. ... The Japanese will suffer, but ... stockbrokers will do better, currency traders will do better.

Your Bank Account Isn't Safe

”Well, it’s now in their bag of tricks, but yes, they can do anything they want too now. I for one am worried and I'm taking preparations. Who knows if I'm right or not, but I'd rather be safe than sorry as all of those people who had money in Cyprus have learned. They thought they had a normal bank account… but now it’s been [taken] with the sanctions of many governments and institutions.” - Jim Rogers via a recent Lew Rockwell interview:

There's No Market in North Korea

“If you really want to get rich now, what you should do is go to North Korea,” he said. But investing in North Korea isn’t easy. “You can buy stamps or you can buy gold or silver coins,” Rogers explained. “There’s no stock market.” - in a recent Smart Planet interview

Africa Is Extremely Interesting

"Africa is extremely interesting to me. And most of them have stock markets. Ghana has a stock market, Ivory Coast has a stock market, Nigeria- there are stock markets you can play. I don't have investments in West Africa at the moment but I have had in the past. There are certainly plenty of ways to play it." - in Reuters

Russia: I Don't Want To Buy The Mainstream

"I have a few small investments in Russia. I'm trying to find stocks or bonds but I don't want to buy the mainstream. I want to buy the different things." - in Reuters Related ETFs: Market Vector Russia ETF Trust (RSX), iShares MSCI Emerging Markets (EEM)

Mr. Bernanke Wants To Get Out Before The Problems Really Erupt

"Mr. Bernanke has said that he is going to keep interest rates down until 2015 at least. Now Mr. Bernanke also seems to be indicating he is going to leave when his term is up in 2014. I suspect he will leave because he does not want to be around when the problem really hits. What he is doing is madness, what most central banks are doing is madness and I am sure Mr. Bernanke wants to get out before the problems really erupt next year or a year after. This is not going to be fun." - in Economic Times

I Do Not Really Want To Own Equities Right Now

"I do not really want to own equities right now. I owned a fair amount of Japanese equities. I sold most of them two weeks ago. I am not very optimistic about equities because you see what happened in Japan when people started getting worried about the end of the artificiality. When everybody realises that all the central banks are going to have to cut back, it is not going to be fun. The Japanese stock market has collapsed in three days. You just wait and the whole world has to face its problem." - in Economic Times
