Investing: Don`t Follow Others

Following each other is a very dangerous thing. Getting a hot tip and then acting on it and doing what other people are doing, that is nearly always a mistake. Nearly every time in my life that I have done something because others said so, it has costed me money.

Central Banks - The Wild Card

The unknown wild card, for me anyway, is what is going to happen when central banks cut back. America`s central bank says its going to continue to cut back. I suspect they will, until, what happens is: markets around the world start going down, they will start getting scared when markets are down 15 or 20 percent, they will get scared and start printing money again.

Eventually this is going to lead to inflation that everybody notes about.

The Chinese government had said in late November that they are going to spend big money over the next 10-20 years in railroads and pollution control measures. Apart from China, there are many other countries that will spend in these sectors." - in Economic Times
