Commodities: A Major Correction In A Bull Market?

I don`t know if this commodities bull market is over, I happen to think it is not. But we are having a major correction , which is normal in markets. That is the way markets have always worked.

I do not see enough permanent supply in most commodities, except maybe in iron ore and a couple of other commodities. I don`t see enough permanent supply to end the bull market unless we are going to have an economic collapse. We could and will eventually.

I am especially optimistic about agriculture at the moment.

You make more money in commodities than in the commodity stocks

Jim Rogers : "Larry the study shows that you make more money in commodities than in the commodity stocks I own all the commodities as I said , Larry if things don't get better governments are going to print more money it is the wrong thing to do but Mister Bernanke is already talking in July and in August about printing more money , when they print money when they debase the currency you have to own real assets " - in CNBC 02 Aug 2011

Jim Rogers Quotes of the Month: Commodities, Gold, and Agriculture

" Jim Rogers speaking to investors in Amsterdam this morning, said that gold is still far from being a bubble and investors should sell bonds and buy precious metals. The chairman of Rogers Holdings, who predicted the start of the global commodities rally in 1999, said that gold should have a rest but it’s far from being a bubble yet."

A Correction Coming in Commodities ?

I have no idea. Cotton has gone up very far, very fast; but, given it was down for thirty years you might not think it’s gone up so much on any kind of compounded rate. There are always corrections — nothing goes straight up. So, there’s nothing unusual about corrections. You can go back to any bull market and you’ll see there’s a range between the high and low for any stock during the bull market. There’s about a 40% range between the top and the bottom. That’s the same for commodities. I have no idea when or what will cause the corrections, but I sure know they’re coming. They always have and they always will. in wallstcheatsheet.com
